Museum of Contemporary Tattoos
Open Call for Artists — 2026 Program
The Museum of Contemporary Tattoos is selecting artists for its 2026 international exhibition program.
The museum operates five permanent AR monuments in public space — at Lustgarten, Berlin; Tate Modern, London; MOT, Tokyo; Guggenheim, New York; and Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam. Each monument presents one artist at a time, for a dedicated period, as part of a continuous rotating program visible across all five cities simultaneously.
Who We’re Selecting
- Tattoo artists who approach their work as art, not service.
- Artists who understand tattooing as a medium capable of holding memory, presence, and cultural meaning.
- Practitioners from any country whose work speaks across cultural contexts.
What You’ll Be Part Of
- Your work exhibited simultaneously across five AR monuments in Berlin, London, Tokyo, New York, and Amsterdam.
- A dedicated feature on the museum’s website and international social channels.
- Participation in the on-chain auction, operated by the Museum of Contemporary Tattoos. All sales are processed transparently on the blockchain, with proceeds transferred directly to the artist.
- Permanent inclusion in the museum’s blockchain-native collection.
